Geography & Climate Mauritius is located in the south west Indian Ocean, 855 kms east of Madagascar. It is situated between longitudes 57018’ and 57048’ east and latitudes 19050’ and 200 south.

Climate Mauritius has a maritime climate, tropical during summer and sub tropical during winter. Summer lasts from November to April, with a temperature ranging from 170C to 320C. Winter lasts from May to October with temperature ranging from 150C to 240C.
